Dr. Summer grew up around Indianapolis, Indiana. She went to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN where she received her B.S. Degree in Agriculture with a concentration in Animal Science. She then returned to her home state to attend Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM in 2023. During her time at Purdue she pursued her passion of learning to treat all species tracking mixed animal in clinic rotations and was a proud wellness representative of her class. Dr. Summer spent her first year post-grad in north Georgia practicing rural mixed animal medicine. After a year in Georgia, she is blessed to return to Tennessee to continue mixed animal general practice as well as grow her family here in Dickson! Her hobbies outside of Vet Med include traveling, aerial gymnastics, soccer, music, and being outdoors. Dr. Summer is excited to meet you and all your fur-babies!
